MONDO HONDO
Our wildest ride yet!
As part of their mission to bike ride down every river in Los Angeles, John & Kim take a weird and exciting trip down the Rio Hondo River just East of downtown LA. This one has bones and guns and giant metal cages! Oh, yeah… and some wildflowers too. Come ride with us!
BEST WILDFLOWERS IN LA!
One of the most popular trails in Los Angeles, the Ballona Creek bike path goes from scuzzy to spectacular in 7 quick miles! Join John and Kim as they take you for a ride on one of their favorite waterside paths — just as the springtime wildflowers are starting to peak.
WE BIKE RIDE THE LA RIVER (sort of)
John and Kim try to ride the 51 mile long LA River… only to find the bike path stops and starts every few miles. But the part near Frogtown is a blast!
WORST BIKE PATH IN LA!
After exploring the various disconnected bike paths of the upper LA River, John and Kim explore the river’s longest path — 19 miles from Vernon to Long Beach. And it’s the worst! Don’t go there! But watch this video
BEST BIKE TRAIL IN LA (part 2)
The upper part of the 38-mile-long bike trail along the San Gabriel River may be one of the most beautiful and exotic of any path in the LA area. There are dozens of waterfalls, mountains, swamps, deserts, dams, and everything in between. Don’t miss the “Freeway Niagara” that flows “magically” out from beneath the 210 freeway. (This only covers the upper half of the bike path — everything north of Whittier Narrows. See “Part One” for the lower half of the path.)
BEST BIKE PATH IN LA (part 1)
The San Gabriel River Bike Trail is a 38-mile long path from the mountains to the beach. In this video, we explore the southern end of the trail (everything south of Whittier Narrows). Please send “Best Bike Path in LA” for Part 2.
